International EANPC Confrence 2007

KAIZEN CONSULTING organizes the III-rd edition of the EANPC Conference- Romania, having the support of the Industrial Productivity and Competitivity Centre (Romania)

Conference theme: European Productivity between Competitivity and Social Approach

The purpose of the event:

EANPC Conference- Romania (European Association of National Productivity Centers) intents to promote in Romania the European organizational productivity model, based on the 3 pillars of the European sciety: inovation, quality of worklife and workplace.

Therefore, we encourage the exchange of experience, from the productivity point of view, between the Romanian social and economical environment and the European environment. So, we are looking for the identification of the factors which could create the premises for the productivity improvement in Romania and for the defining of the complex connections between those factors.

The organizatinal productivity, like a part of the Durable Competitivity, will show clearly its importance in the next period of time, either on the European market (Lisboa agenda) or (even more) on the Romanian market, because of the following reasons: the increase of the competitive level, economical globalization of the services, goods and personnel; the increase of the social dimension in the business world; more attention to the environment etc.

Taking into account the important disparity of Romania toward the other states of the European Union, the general strategic major goal -the increase of the economical competitivity and the economical development based on knowledge- from the Romanian National Development Plan (PND) is the productivity increase of the Romanian companies in order to reduce the disparities toward the average productivity of the European Union. We are loking for the generation, till 2015, of an average productivity increase of aprox. 5,5% per year, allowing to Romania to touch almost 55% of the EU. Those are the latest stipulations in the PND for 2007-2013.

The Eurostat statistics on the work productivity related to the no of the employees show the foresights for Romania: it will be in 2007 at 42,7 % and in 2008 at 44,4% up to the European average of this indicator.

This conference will provide an overview of the main directions for the competitivity improvement in Romania at a macro-economical, sectorial and company level and it will give pertinent answers to the following questions:

- How and how long could we reduce the productivity disparity toward the EU average?
- What is the new Productivity approach in the EU?
- How do some of the most performant international and European compenies approach the productivity - ”Company best practices”?
- What is the function of the National Productivity Centres in Europe and Romania?

Within this context, throught this event we want to spread the improvement tecniques and methods to increase the organizational productivity, either at a conceptual level by presenting practical cases from the participants’ experience, or at a practical level by visiting a Romanian reprezentative company, from the productivity and durable competitivity point of view.
